Fancy co-ordinating the UK Bowel Screening Programme without any medical experience and without any understanding of cancer services in the UK?

Would you believe you can apply for a job available as Lead Administrator and Faster Diagnosis Standard Lead in Hackney, London with a salary of: £24,214 to £30,615 (Band 5) ($47 - 60K NZD).

This role is varied and will involve proactively monitoring and tracking patients on a cancer 28 day faster diagnosis standard (FDS) pathway and also be responsible for monitoring and tracking Bowel Cancer Screening patients on a 62 day pathway. An understanding of national targets with respect to patient pathways is essential. (You can google this)!

The post holder will also be responsible for the co-ordination of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, including FIT and Bowel Scope across all satellite sites whilst also providing a high quality administrative service to support the Bowel Cancer Screening Service.

You will need to be confident, proactive and have excellent written and communication skills. The role is extremely busy and involves working within a pressured environment, therefore excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills are a requirement.

Experience of using a variety of IT systems, including the Microsoft Office package is essential. Experience of working in the NHS and a good working knowledge of hospital systems are desirable. An understanding of cancer services is highly desirable.
