"On Wednesday the 12th of September the Great pub quiz in support of the Bowel Cancer Foundation Trust kicked off in the Bog pub with 80 people in attendance on George Street.

The quiz was a great success, we sold out before we started, with 15 teams and even got some locals at the bar to jump in and share the fun!

There was a good reception to all our donated prizes, and everything went smoothly.

We gave out spot prizes to the funniest team name, Quizzinda Arden, and first, second and third place prizes to 3 great teams who took out the competition.

It was a great night where people felt comfortable sharing their stories of Bowel Cancer, and we were proud to donate $350 to the charity which I hope to bring back in 2019.

A big thank you to all of the companies that sponsored us to make this a fun enjoyable night for everyone.

Sponsors included: Emerson's breweries (T-shirts), The Dog with two tails (restaurant vouchers), Tank juice (vouchers), Poppas pizzas (pizza vouchers), Kiki beware (bar vouchers), Eeny Meeny (Stationary and pamper packs), Rialto cinemas (movie vouchers), Skyline Queenstown (Gondola and luge ride vouchers), The Body Shop (Pamper pack), Spark (pre paid phone cards), Smart Ass (Toilet Roll) and Whittakers (Chocolate bars)."

(Aimee Green is a student at Otago University and wanted to fundraise to support bowel cancer patients after having family members deal with this horrible disease).
